Abstract :
This research tries to analyze the strategies on China’s domination over bilateral cooperation with Zimbabwe, particularly in economic sector. Data from various sources show that Zimbabwe is a vulnerable country both economically and politically. Zimbabwe posses bad politic and economic regime thus high risk for any cooperation or investation purposes. The analysis of China’s domination can be explained by the fact which China tend to be more influential than Zimbabwe on doing their economic cooperation. Zimbabwe government even tend to make China’s enterprises interests go easier than local enterprises that harmful for its local enterprises development. Such favorable condition only can be achieved by China trough applying the right strategies based on Zimbabwe crises. China often provides Zimbabwe for support while other countries are sanctioning and embargoing. Beside, China also give Zimbabwe a lot of assistances for its development while International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank are postponing their loans due to Zimbabwe’s violation issues and hyperinflation until the government of Zimbabwe pay off all the debt. By using descriptive analysis through data, literature reviews, and theoretical framework this research found evidences that proved the hypothesis regarding China’s strategies to dominate its bilateral economic cooperation with Zimbabwe, which are by implementing both (1) non-intervention and (2) foreign aid strategy.
