Abstract :
This paper aimed to explain the prospect of local identity in globalization. The stated main argument is globalization has an important role in reshaping the local identity which have been marginalized rather than erasing the local identity and change it with the global identity (homogenization). In the successful case of Amazigh’s identity struggle in Marocco, the Amazigh uses two fitures of globalization; information, communication, and technology (ICT) revolution and discourse externalization. In this matter, the presence of globalization has the big significance in pushing the re-rise of local identity and making the local identity to be more recognized as the product of globalization, unless as “the victim”.
