Abstract :
This research is done to make a description on the characteristic of psychological need of orphanage’s children. The researcher’s wish to know about the description on the psychological needs of orphanage’s children is based on Margareth’s conclusion (in Hurlock, 1995) which state that children care in foundation, such as in an orphanage, is not very good because children are considered as biological creatures, not as psychological and social creatures. That is why by using the psychological test device 16 PF applied to 97 orphans children in four orphanages, the researcher tries to disclose the characteristic of their psychological need. And from the study, the researcher has gotten the description that orphans children in orphanages are very awkward in associating with others and most of them get difficulties in their interpersonal relations.
