Abstract :
Professions of Librarian in the information era, there is still the possibility of closing some oversight by the public which tends to lead to negative. As with any image of a Librarian that sticks in the minds of the public that is someone who is identical to keep books and book-related, then the losing popular profession and other professions. The existence of the phenomenon of repeated from time to time this is the repercussions for a student of library and information science as a profession where academicians Librarian is one of the professions of post graduates. However, please note that the actual role of the librarian is also not less importance in managing information in this era.This research was done qualitatively by using etnometodologi and the study of the theory of Structuration as his knife. As for the focus on research is to reveal the process of formation of the view and understanding of the profession among librarians and Library information science students of Airlangga and consequences it brings i.e interest form on the profession of post graduates. Technique of taking informants are purposive sampling with some specified criteria.Based on the results of this research, the conclusions obtained by the researchers that the categorization of information and Library Science students of Airlangga. First, the existence of survival adaptis impositions against the authoritarian structure of the student in the process of beginning the course selection is done, but the students on this trying to adapt to the requirement of their Department. Second, skeptical students that impartial have freedom in his initial election implies courses do, so just as the alternative. Third, apathetic student who is defenseless when the process of life lecture took place. The result is the kind of student who is able to do against the structure of the skeptical resistense by performing two lectures in the College with the same consequences that he bore himself
