Abstract :
The motivation of students using the library is still less than the maximum. Driving students using the library, through the need - the need of the underlying. This study discusses the motivation of students using the library in YPAB Surabaya are motivated by the need for achievement, need for power and need for affiliation. The theories used in this research is the theory of the motivation from David Mc.Clelland, where motivation is based on a three types of needs: need for achievement, need for power and need for affiliation. The sampling technique using saturated sampling conducted on 34 students from the level SDLB to SMALB. The method used is descriptive quantitative method. Based on research, the motivation of students using the library at YPAB of Surabaya through the need for affiliation, need for power and need for achievement. In the results of this study highlight the need for affiliation is more dominant to encourage students to take advantage of the library of the need for power and the need for achievement. The need for affiliation included in the category with a score of 4.48. Nafter that need for achievement in middle category with a score of 4.34, and need for power to be in the final squence with the medium category with a score of 4,28
