Abstract :
The entry of Israel into the OECD membership in 2010 is controversial because Israel is still considered incapable compared to other OECD members that have a good reputation in the sector of the economy and democracy. The entry of Israel into OECD is controversial because of Israel’s problem in the economic sector, political sector and the welfare sector, as well as Israel's involvement in regional conflicts, which then form Israel's reputation in the international sphere. However, Israel still seeks to join the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) is an organization that is engaged in the economic and social welfare. Based on this background, the problem in this research is formulated to address the impact of Israel joining the OECD in 2010. To explain this, the author uses the theory of rational design by analyzing the incentives offered by the international organization's member states. In the end, the authors found that after joining the OECD, from 2010 to 2013, Israel got incentives in the form of the minimalization of transaction cost for Israel to achieve its economic interests and the improvement in Israel's reputation in the international sphere that has a positive impact on Israeli diplomatic relations.
