Abstract :
Relatively not many people are aware about the existence and significant of a librarian. Often bring discordant notes about this profesion. So, this profesion doesn’t attract the young people especially librarian and information student. Even from librarians who are actively, not necessarily early acquired, understand, and liking profession as a librarian. On other hand, in librarian is a profesion that has the potencial to be developed in the current information era. A librarian currently must multiskilled, not enough if only to do with books. Qualitative research in this study tried to uncover the meaning behind the librarian inter subjectivism in expanding their knowledge about soul of profesionalisme librarian. The study uses the Social Construction perspective, which means trying to understand this phenomenon with tracing back the confidence in librarians during their profesion. This study results three profesionalisme typology, they are: administrative librarianship, actualization librarianship, and society oriented librarianship. Administrative librarianship is a librarian who to work in accordance with the rules of bureaucracy of government. Actualization librarianship is librarian work to explore his capability. Society Oriented librarianship is librarian who regard the librarian professions is needed to empower people
