Abstract :
Conceptually, an SDP program or organization is focused on addressing the social problems by using sports as an instrument to create a positive social change. There are some weaknesses that could hamper the program. Those weaknesses can be categorized into three broad areas: political, technical, and practical. Skateistan is one of the few NGOs that carry the SDP program in Afghanistan. Reviewing the progress and the efficacy of the organization, the weaknesses that have been identified by the SDP scholars does not likely apply to Skateistan. The development of ‘web-making’ scheme becomes a major strategy to overcome the weaknesses. As a middle level actor, Skateistan has smartly played his position to establish and implement a relational web.
