Abstract :
Ariel Sharon's controversial visit on 28 September 2000 into the Temple Mount where the Al-Aqsa Mosque also located, became the main driver of the infuriated Palestinian society which then led to the Second Intifada. At the beginning of Ariel Sharon administration he pledge to improve the security of Israel, in the second Intifada he implemented Operation Defensive Shield which in fact leads to offensive operations, characterized by Targeted Killing Policy in combating terrorism. But contrary at the end of his government he issued a policy of disengagement Plan, policy and withdrawal of the Israeli army weapons as well as withdrawin 8000 more Israeli settlers from the West Bank and Gaza unilaterally. This research then attempts to answer why Ariel Sharon foreign policy change in the Second Intifada.
