Abstract :
Brucellosis, a bacterial zoonosis, is a disease caused by the genus Brucella. Brucellosis of swine is a disease caused by Brucella suis. The aim of this research was to examines the response of antibodies formed by the local Brucella suis bacteria infection isolate from Karanganyar, Central Java with Complement Fixation Test (CFT). This research used mices (Mus musculus) as the experimental animals. Mices (Mus musculus) was infected by local isolate Brucella suis bacteria and then the blood was taken start from week-4 to week-8 used Complement Fixation Test (CFT). The resultsof Complement Fixation Test (CFT) showed thatBrucellasuislocal isolates from Karanganyarpig farmstated were negative. ComplementFixationTestconducted atthe Research Instituteof Bogor(BBPV Bogor). In order Brucella suis bacteria has a high pathogenicity severalexperiment animals deathsup to8 weekspost-infection Brucellasuisbacteria, so antibodies notformed.
