Abstract :
Postcolonial Indian women now faced with a complicated problem of high color bleaching activities by the nonwhite women. This research examined that there are some tendencies to prefer White or lighter skin color over black or darker one or colorism. These were not only showed in Indian people general view but also embedded and reinforced in their social hierarchy structure As the result of Double oppression and Internalized oppression analysis, it was found that pervalence of colorism and skin bleaching was the result of widened and prolonged oppression and further internalized by people in India for centuries, therefore affected their postcolonial behavior (endogenous factor), including embedded in their social economical structure. Another finding of this writing also found that Globalization was also related as one of the exogenous enforcing factor of those phenomenon.
