Abstract :
Disaster is a threat that are unexpected, harmful and difficult be avoided. One of them is the drought in Pasuruan. Although there is spring, but the drought is a threat in Pasuruan. Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah Pasuruan is an institution that has the functions of coordinating, commanding and implementing disaster management. The purpose of this study is to describe BPBD Pasuruan strategy in drought disaster drought drought in Pasuruan using SWOT analysis in every stage. This study uses qualitative research methods with type descriptive study. The data obtained through documentation, observation and interview. Selection of informants by purposive sampling further evolved with the snowball technique. The analysis process is done by grouping the data and combine the data obtained, then also by correlating between the data obtained with the reality on the ground. While the data validity is tested through triangulation of data sources so that the data presented is valid data. The results obtained in the field showed that BPBDs Pasuruan strategy in drought disaster management at the stage of pre-disaster strategy WO strategy, ST strategy and SO strategy. The strategy in stage of emergency is SO strategy and ST strategy. While SO, WO and WT strategy for post disaster.
