Abstract :
Since the emergence of State-owned enterprises ministerial regulation No: PER-01/MBU/2011 which talks on the implementation of Good Corporate Governance for state-owned enterprises, all of the State-owned enterprises are required to obey the rule and carry out the principles of GCG. It is need to be done to minimize the law violations such as corruption, collusion, and nepotism that possible to happen inside the enterprise, and also to enhance the management of the enterprise. PT. Petrokimia Gresik, an enterprise that works on producing fertilizer, which stands as a Holding member of PT. Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), is one of the State-owned enterprises in Indonesia that is subject to the implementation of GCG. Fertilizer is taking a significant role in boosting crops production, especially in agricultural nation like Indonesia. Through the implementation of GCG, PT Petrokimia Gresik that also produce subsidized fertilizer for Indonesian turns out to expose good performance, and it is shown through several awards that have been achieved. Through this research, the writer intended to describe the practice of good corporate governance in PT. Petrokimia Gresik, which stands as a Holding member of PT. Pupuk Indonesia (Persero).In conducting this research, the writer used qualitative method completed with the descriptive kind of research. The writer selected the informants through the purposive sampling method, and then continued with snowball technique. To collect the data, the writer had done an observation, in-depth interview, and also documentations. For the analysis of the data, the writer had done a data reduction based on the certain category, and then combined it with the secondary data.The next step is formulating the conclusion by looking at the relation among those data. Finally, to ensure the validity of the data, triangulation technique is also applied in order to get the most valid result of the research. From the result, it shows that PT. Petrokimia Gresik has been performing five principles of good corporate governance. Those are including Transparency, Accountability, Responsibility, Independency, and Equality & Fairness. However, the writer found only four of them stand out the most in the practice of good corporate governance. They are Accountability, Responsibility, Independency, and Equality & Fairness. Whereas, the writer found that the Transparency in this company is not quite optimal due to the absence of the exact rule of law in this company.
