Efektivitas program reading time di sekolah dasar (studi deskriptif: efektivitas program reading time di sekolah alam insan mulia surabaya)

Abstract :
Now day, a few of elementary school in Surabaya begin be use to Reading Time program (Jam Wajib Baca). This research is examined using quantitative descriptive method that aim to describe how effectiveness of Reading Time program at Sekolah Alam Insan Mulia Surabaya and what kind influence factors of effectiveness Reading Time program at Sekolah Alam Insan Mulia Surabaya. There is research used systematic random sampling as sample taking technique. And the population is all of students in 5 and 6 grade of primary school and finally selected 52 students as sampling in this research. This research show that three indicator to describe productivity of program. First, reading proficiency. This research shown that most of students can retell books that they read already. Second, student’s motivation to read. This result shown that majority students feel enjoy to read encyclopaedia Third, language was development already. This result shown that most of student like writte like writting of story for their hobbies. This result also shown that Reading Time program still can’t adaptation program to change, in implementation, Reading Time program ever didn’t start and wasn’t alternate another day or other time. This result also shown that stutents haven’t pressure in program implementation, when they are usually spend their time for reading more three times during one week with read one book during one week. This result known that influence factors of effectiveness Reading Time program are student need, when student need to read is feel free to reading everything they want to read, so finally they want to read. And second factor is benefit they feel. Most of student feel benefit that’s to increading their knowledge, so they are increasing their read frequency. And not influential factor is punishment, that punishment is warning from their teacher. This result shown that most of student who get warning, they don’t want to read
