Abstract :
This research performed to identify information literacy figure o EAP (English for Academic Purposes) program graduate in IALF Bali. Population of research was 158 persons and method used was quantitative descriptive and sampling technique used simple random sampling with systematic sample. Sample size was 30 persons. This research was performed on April-July 2013. To find information literacy of EAP program graduates researcher used The Big 6 model and this model has 6 stages: job definition, information finding strategy, location and access, information use, information synthesis and result evaluation. Analysis result showed that EAP program graduates had been able to adapt their self in formulation problem as evidenced by 96,7% respondents always used that activity. Respondents had been able to use various information sources recently available as evidenced by about 53,3% respondents used primary information source. They had been knowing location to perform information searching and to do that activity about 53,3% opted to use electronic databases such as PROQUEST, EBSCO, ACE, etc. Respondents had been able to use internet for obtaining information where about 68,4% of them used Internet to search information concerning their study to complete their tasks. Respondents could implement information synthesis activity to complete their task where about 46,7% of them prepared information they gained to be used further. They had been practicing process and result evaluation activity in completing their task where about 43,3% respondents made important notes on information they gained and would be used to complete tasks or for other purposes. It could be concluded that EAP program graduates in IALF Bali had been able to implement stages from Big6 such as task definition, information seeking strategy, location and access, information use, information synthesis and result evaluation in working on their tasks or in problem solving.
