Abstract :
Wahhabi is a religious group that included in the category of new religious movements. As a religious group that has a strong mass base and historical closeness with Bani Saud family, making them an interest group that has a strong influence on the formulation of foreign policy of Saudi Arabia. This study tried to see the significance of religious movements that are categorized as new religious movements, in particular to determine the influence of Wahhabi, against the foreign policy of Saudi Arabia in the Arab Spring in Egypt 2011-2013. Wahhabi ideology which has been used as an unwritten ideology in Saudi Arabia, making them one of the strong factors in the formulation of foreign policy, especially related to religious issues. Arab Spring in Egypt relates very closely with the religious and ideologically, get more attention and focus for these groups. By using the instrument in the form of religious either fatwa or religious terms, Wahabi was successful in bringing the masses and of course the Saudi government in the formulation of foreign policy
